Synopsis
Movies with mythological storylines are a delight to watch. They occupy the middle line between commercial films and offbeat ones, and entertain effectively. 'Indralogathil Na Azhagappan' is Vadivelu's second attempt after 'Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi' as hero. Thambi Ramaiah is directing the flick. As 'Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi' did well at the box-office mainly because of its comedy, there are high expectations on this film too. The film combines present-day reality with mythological adventures the central character experiences.
Azhagappan, played by Vadivelu, is an ordinary man who goes to heaven after his death. He takes a tour around the exotic world. To his surprise, he finds Lord Indra, king of Devas resembling him in appearance. And as he continues his tour, the innocent man soon finds Lord Yama, the Lord of death too having exactly similar looks like him. Azhagappan becomes puzzled. Determined to find the truth behind this, he sets out on a journey. The heavenly beings he encounters on his way, including his verbal exchanges with the Gods Yama and Indra and the excitement he experiences are what makes the plot humorous.
'Indralogathil Na Azhagappan' would be a Vadivelu extravaganza. He is sure to bring out a clear difference and enjoyment through each of his three roles in the movie. His onscreen strengths, such as his dialogue timings and body language, would make this mythological tale a resounding success. There are three heroines in the film namely Theetha Sharma as Rambha, Suja as Oorvasi and Raari from Kerala as Menaka.The cast also includes Nasser, Thiyagu, Manobala, Ilavarasan, Yamini Sharma, Sumithra, along with directors Thambi Ramiah and Raj Kapoor in significant roles.
The film has its music by Sabesh Murali. Thota Tharani is the art director and Camera work is by Gopinath. 'Indralogathil Na Azhagappan' is produced by Manickam Narayanan under the banner of Seventh Channel. The film is expected to release in December. |  |
