The highlights of Boys, according to Shankar, are that for the first time in the Indian film history, a total of 62 cameras were used to shoot a song by using Time Freeze Technic, while another song has been shot in an exotic island and a favourite tourist spot - Tasmania in Australia. A beach resort was re-created by Sabu Cyril on 25 acres in a suburb with discotheque, restaurant, swimming pool and water volleyball. For another song, Sabu had created sets with junk materials. An auditorium was set up at a cost of nearly Rs one crore. A total of 500 fibre drums were made to shoot a song sequence. The movie has few most happening names including danseuse Anitha Rathnam, singers Hariharan, A V Ramanan, Tamil scholar Solomon Pappiah and a famous model Kamal Chopra. A tech-savvy Shankar has used computer graphics to perfection in Boys. Be it creating a dragonfly which dances for a song, a 3D animation of a girl appearing in a song has been picturised well. The animations have been taken care by no less a person than Marc Cabae, who had worked in Hollywood for Independence Day and Godzilla. With A R Rehman scoring the music Shankar is all set to release his latest Boys
