Synopsis
After the success of 'Thirumalai', director Ramana joins hands with Vijay again in 'Aathi'. The film is a remake of Telugu hit 'Atanokkade'. Vijay has always relished doing remakes and movies like 'Ninaithen Vandhai', 'Priyamanavale' and 'Gilli' have done wonders to his career. His father and veteran director S.A.Chandra Shekhar is producing 'Aathi'.
Vijay-Trisha's pairing is highly popular following their success of 'Gilli' and 'Thirupachi'. Sai Kumar, who made strides as a hero in Telugu and Kannada films, plays a villain in the movie.
According to Vijay, 'In the movie, I play a college student who is adopted, brought up and given shed by kind people. Trisha gives me company in the film. The movie has good action, romance and sentiments to attract my fans. The film is about to hit silver screens on Pongal'. |  |
