Cast: Jeeva, Pooja, Delhi Ganesh, Ghana Ulaganathan Director:Subramaniam Siva Producer:P.S.Rajendran Music:Dhina Date Of Release: Feb 2nd, 2007

Director Subramaniam Siva, who rendered a racy entertainer in 'Thiruda Thirudi', has come out with a
commercial subject for 'Pori'. The director has tried to give something different with the film. But failed to
present a good movie.
Hari (Jeeva) owns a small book shop. His father (Nagesh), a school teacher, on his retirement buys a
building for Jeeva to run his bookstore. Then comes a rich businessman from abroad (Seeman),
claiming ownership for the property. Hari comes to know that they had been cheated by an influential
gang. A sequence of events helps him come to know the involvement of political leaders. And how he
teaches them a lesson, forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Jeeva has done well as a boy-next-door who has to toughen up due to circumstances. He amazes
with his body language and facial expressions. His stunt sequences are fine. Pooja does her limited
role well. She looks slim and cute in the film. Karunas as Jeeva's friend is adequate. Nagesh has
performed well as a father. The others have done upto the mark. Music by Dhina is pleasant. Story is
adequate. Direction and screenplay are fine. The film lacks some commercial elements. The other
technical aspects are okay.
