'Koodal Nagar' is made by a debutant director Seenu Ramasamy. The director has taken a simple plot and moulded it
into a complete entertainer with all necessary ingredients. The director has given a dual role to Bharat. Seenu is sure to
win hearts of audience and good fame in the industry.
Suriyan and Chandran (both played by Bharath) land up in Madurai with their mother in search of a livelihood.
Chandran gets a job as an attender in a postmortem ward in Madurai Government Hospital. Suriyan gets a job in a
lending library. Chandran falls for Selvi (Sandhya), a girl next-door. Suryan loves Manimekalai (Bhavana), daughter of
MLA Namasivayam (Mahadevan). Soon when Namasivayam comes to know about the relationship, he knocks out
Suriyan. And how Suriyan finally succeeds in getting his love back in his life is to be seen on the screen.
Performance:
Bharath impresses all with his dual role. Sandhya does an excellent job in her cameo role. She attracts the audience with
her looks and smile. Bhavana is of first rate. Mahadevan has done well as a baddie. Music by Sabesh - Murali is good.
All songs are catchy. Screenplay is fine. The film is shot at the beautiful locales of Madurai. The film's story, direction
are flawless. The other technical aspects are alright.
