Dhanush- Aishwarya wedding reception

Rajnikant's daughter Aishwarya and actor Dhanush had their wedding reception at Mayor Sri Ramanathan Chettiar Centre, MRC Nagar , Chennai on Saturday (Nov 20) which turned out to be as big as a multi-starrer. The bride and groom stood on stage flanked by their parents, as the guests walked up to greet the new couple.
Rajni's good friend and co-star Vijaykumar, fans association president Satyanarayana were overseeing and guiding the VIPguests towards the couple. Vijakumar’s daughter Sridevi stood behind them, with Aishwarya's sister Soundarya (looking ravishing in black), Dhanush's brother director Selvaraghavan and other friends and relatives were taking the presents and bouquets that were passed on to them from the couple.
Latha Rajnikant was all smiles, thanking the guests for coming. DMK supremo M.Karunanidhi, M.K Stalin, Dayanidhi Maran, TNCC(I) President G.K.Vasan, Karthi Chidambaram, former Andhra Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Janata Party president Subramaniam Swamy were the prominent politicians who turned up at the venue.
Vikram was one of the early actors to arrive. He came sporting his long Anniyan hair style, wearing a white shirt and black pants, looking like a dashing hero. Everybody who was somebody in Chennai turned up with hundreds of bouquets and hundreds were standing outside the venue pestering the invitees to hand over their invitation cards on the way out of the hall. There was tight security with a host of film PRO’s filtering out the gate crashers.
At 8 pm, the ultimate superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya came. Amitabh went straight to Rajni and gave him a hug. He then greeted Latha and the newlyweds touched his feet and he gave Dhanush a kiss. The guest list also includes Director S.P.Muthuraman, who has directed the superstar in maximum number of films, actors Prabhu, leading producers, directors, distributors, singers, technicians and others.
The reception was on the second floor, and the food (all vegetarian) was served on the first floor. The menu was Kasmiri Pulao, varieties of oothappams, Idiyappam, Parotta, Paneer, Channa and vegetable kurma. The dessert was hot jilebis with ice cream.
