Celebrating the veteran  Sivaji family will host Chevalier Late Sivaji Ganesan's 80th birthday celebrations on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at
Kalaignar Arangam, Chennai. The event is planned by the Sivaji Prabhu Charities Trust and will be chaired by the Chief
Minister M. Karunanidhi. A special postal cover to honor the Travancore Sisters – Lalitha, Padmini, and Raghini – will
also be released by the Tamil Nadu circle Principal Chief Post Master General Ms.Indira Krishnakumar.
The Sivaji Prabhu Charities Trust is also planning to confer the Dr. Sivaji Ganesan Memorial Awards on a host of
lasteryear veteran actors and film personalities including T.K. Ramamurthy, Saroja Devi, K R Vijaya, Sacchu, Film
News Anandan, and Aroordas during the event. Actor Sivakumar and lyricist Vairamuthu will address the function
which will be hosted by Y Gee Mahendra and Mohan Raman. |  |
