'Kuruvi' caught in the net  Pirated CDs have always been the bane of the film industry. Though the higher authorities are trying hard to curb this problem, the issue seems to rear its ugly head now and then. With new films hitting the screens, the problem is just getting bigger. On a tip off, recently, the police conducted a raid in a theatre in Chennai and arrested Abdul Raja for capturing
the film 'Kuruvi' in his video camera. A habitual offender, Abdul Raja had already been arrested twice. On a search conducted in his home, it was found that he had about 400 copies of Kuruvi CD and other new films. It is expected that Abdul may be booked under the Goondas Act. |
