Ban lifted problem solved  Director Samy who made a mark for himself with Uyir with an offbeat theme went on to work in his next venture Mirugam with Padmapriya as the heroine. A small misunderstanding between the director and heroine resulted in the former slapping the latter. Further on Padmapriya complained about this incident at the Producer's Council and at Nadigar Sangam. The matter was reviewed and a ban was slashed on the director for one year.
Subsequent to this, director Samy had appealed at the Producer’s council and requested that the ban on him be lifted. After perusing Samy’s appeal, the council had concluded that the ban can be lifted with effect from April 30th. Now Samy has moved ahead with his next project titled Sarithiram where Rajkiran will play the role of hero. Shooting will commence from June. |
