Vasantha Balan made his entry Vasantha Balan made his entry into Kollywood through his directorial venture Album which received moderate response. His
second film 'Veyil' was a blockbuster hit in terms of catering to both class and mass. It was the first film to be screened at the
prestigious Cannes film festival under the foreign language category. The film was spoken for its realism
sans any of the filmi frills. Currently Vasantha Balan is busy doing Angadi Theru with Anjali and many new comers and the film, as
the title suggests, is about happenings in a market place. After Angadi Theru, he will be directing once again many newcomers in a
film to be produced by Amma Creations who are funding Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja in Tamil and Telugu.
