'Annamalai' then 'Thiruvannamalai' now
In 1992, Kavithalaya came out with a film, Annamalai, which had superstar Rajinikanth playing the lead role. This film, as like the other Rajini films, went on to become a smash hit. After all these years, Kavithalaya has now decided to produce another film titled similarly 'Thiruvannamalai'.
Director Perarasu will direct the Arjun starrer 'Thiruvannamalai' and according to his belief all his films should be named after a place. His earlier ventures were named; for example, Sivakasi, Tirupathi, Thirupachi etc. His yet another forthcoming film, Thiruttani, with Bharath donning the lead role is expected to commence soon, but only after 'Thiruvannamalai'.
