Japanese actors in 'Kuselan' 
Mammoth star cast, soaring production costs and huge multitude of junior artistes have inadvertently turned Kuselan into a big budget extravaganza. The Rajinikanth starrer was earlier planned to be made on a minimal budget, however, when the shooting unfolded, additions came in and last heard Kuselan is eventually far exceeding the planned budget.
The surge in budget could also be attributed to the casting of artistes from Japan. Director Vasu seems to have decided to cash in on the Rajini mania prevalent in Japan and roped in a few Japanese actors to the cast list.Produced and directed simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, Kuselan will also feature Pasupathy, Nayanthara, Meena, Prabhu, Vadivelu and Livingston. Slated for an August 2008 release, Kuselan's score will be by G.V. Prakashkumar.
