Rajini to attend fast by film association
Rajinikanth has confirmed his attendence to the fast organised by the Kollywood film industry in protest to the bashing up of Tamil theatres in Bangalore on April 4th. Returning from Hyderabad after canceling his 'Kuselan' shooting to make convenient to all to attend the fasting, the actor contacted the organizers of the agitation and confirmed his presence in the same.
Born and brought up in Karnataka and now a Tamil superstar, it will be difficult for Rajni to take sides. Rajni was born in Bangalore to Marathi parents and his first movie was in Kannada, Katha Sangama. In Kollywood he is always portrayed as the custodian of Tamil culture, and anything else would just not go with his screen identity. Kamal Hassan has also confirmed his attendence to the fast after cancelling his crucial overseas commitments in the USA.
