Cast: Madhavan, Sangeetha, Seeman Director:Nishikanth Kamat Producer:R.Madhavan, Abbas Mastan Music:G.V.Prakash Date of Release: Dec 7th, 2007
Madhavan turns associate producer with 'Evano Oruvan'. The film draws its inspiration from a Marathi film titled
'Dombivili Fast'. The film is directed by Nishikanth Kamat. It conveys strong message to the society. Nishikanth's selection
of cast is fine. He deserves a praise for his brave attempt.
Sridhar Vasudevan (Madhavan) is an average, middle class man employed in a bank. He is a man of ethics, who lives with his
wife (Sangeetha) and a kid. Vasudevan is constantly disturbed by the corruptive and insensitive system. He is too sensitive
to tolerate these things. This makes him become unfit in the society. He is humiliated by everyone. His honesty is perceived
as weakness by his wife. The pressure grows. It gets more and more intensified by each passing day. One day he bursts into
action. Motivated by his deep anger, he turns violent. He goes about doing right the wrongs done to him. He is now chased by
the police. Finally he is defeated but his actions touch the right chord in the public conscience.
Performance: Madhavan excels in his performance this time too. He has well handled varied emotions of anguish,
misery and rage. Sangeetha has once again proved her talent. She has handled her role as a middle class housewife with ease.
She makes a right comeback with 'Evano Oruvan'. Seeman is alright in the role of Police inspector. The others have played
upto the content. Music for a song by G.V.Prakash is good. P.Sameer's background music is outstanding. Dialogues are of first
rate. Cinematography by Sanjay is excellent. Story and direction are good. The other technical aspects are alright.
