Cast: Vikram, Trisha, Prakash Raj Director:Lingusamy Producer:A.M.Rathnam Music:Harris Jayaraj Date Of Release:Jan 14th, 2008
'Bheema' is directed by Lingusamy. It is one of the longest awaited movie of Kollywood. A lot was heard about the delay of
'Bheema'. But the team of the film was undisturbed. Finally the film has seen the light and is worth watching. Lingusamy
deserves applaud for providing us a power packed action entertainer. The story is all about a tug of war between two
underworld gangs trying to outsmart each other. The director's selection of cast is good.
Shekhar (Vikram) is a man who gets inspired by Chinna (Prakash Raj), a gangster with a heart of gold. Impressed with his
courage, Chinna embraces him, inducting him into the gang. And with Vikram as his right hand man, Chinna gradually becomes
the godfather of the city which was earlier ruled by Periyavar (Raguvaran). Filled with rage, Periyavar and his two sons
attempt to kill Chinna and take back the city. But with Shekhar by his side they are unable to touch the newly crowned
godfather. Meanwhile, Shekhar falls in love with Trisha so much that he loses focus and concentration on the job. Vikram is
now forced to choose between work and love. What does Vikram choose forms the rest of the story.
Performances: Vikram has performed with complete dedication yet again. He looks energetic and excels in all the
sequences. Trisha gets her share in the action movie. She looks glamorous in her attire. Her expressions are pleasing. The
chemistry between Trisha and Vikram is good. Prakash Raj is brilliant. His character is so powerful that he looks like a side
hero in the film. Raghuvaran's role as Prakash Raj's rival is efficient. Ashish Vidyarthi's role is small but significant.
Sherin's appearance in a number is impressive. Music by Harris Jayaraj is one of the major assets of the movie. Kanal Kanan's
action sequences are good. Cinematography is fine. Story and direction are interesting. The other aspects are
alright.
