'Three roses' is all roses but no perfume to boost.
'Three Roses' has three Ravishing heroines in action. Ramba, Jyotika and Laila are the kollywood answers to the Hollywood’s Charlie's Angels. But the making of the film completely disappoints the viewers. The storyline is silly and the screenplay lacks liveliness. Even Govinda's dance, Karthik Raja's music and the glamour could not do any justice to the film.

Coming to story, Charu (Ramba), Pooja (Jyotika) and Nandhu (Laila) are friends whose families live under one roof! They study music abroad and return with the idea of cutting albums, but get embroiled in a case involving their friend Asha (Rekha), who travels with her lover to Chennai from Dubai on a false passport. She is imprisoned and the three girls garner support for Asha who would be executed if sent back to Dubai. The real life incident that made waves just about a year ago is the inspiration here.
The scenes begin abruptly and climax is frustrating. Vivek's comedy is irritating. Laila is a stunner in the film and seems quite comfortable in stunts. Vijay Adhiraj plays the lover. Rekha, the heroine of "Punnagai Poovae", has a small role. Ramba's agility is rather laboured and even in Jyotika's case the effort does not come easily. And half the time the action sequences look contrived — just to show the acrobatic prowess of the girls. Hence the scenes lack depth.
Karthik Raja's music is a positive aspect of the film. The fast paced footwork of Govinda and Ramba adds verve to the music in Meiyanadha scene. Parameshwar's screenplay and direction is below average. To sum up 'Three roses' is all roses but no perfume to boost.
